To determine who is to bring the bring-in to Seven Card Stud when two or more players have an exposed card of the same value, the card is used. The sticks are classified as follows: shamrocks (lowest stick), diamonds, hearts and spades (highest stick). The lowest club does not match, so if there is a pair of hearts and another pair of clovers discovered at the beginning of the hand, the player with the pair of clubs will have the bring-in. (Note: this rule is not applicable in the classification of equal hands in the final confrontation.)
If the player with the lowest exposed card on the third street goes all-in in the ante and therefore can not make the necessary initial bet, the bring-ins will move clockwise towards the next player On the table, regardless of the value of the player’s exposed card.
In the fourth street, if a player shows a pair, you can bet or raise the value of a large bet (€ 4 in a € 2 / € 4 game). Once someone makes the “big bet” in this situation, this higher bet amount continues for the remainder of the fourth round betting round.
Since Stud games are played with eight players but there are only 52 cards in the deck, it is possible that all cards will run out before the seventh hand is dealt. In this unusual case, a “community” card is dealt face-up, and will be shared by all players remaining on the table.
Other variants of Stud
In the poker room of Poker Stars there is also a variant of Seven Card Stud, known as Seven Card Stud Hi / Lo (also “Stud Eight or Better” or “Stud / 8”). In this variant of Stud, there are two potential winners in each hand: the player with the highest best hand and the player with the best low hand, as long as the low hand is a low or better eight.
Poker Stars also offers Razz . In this variant of Stud, the whole pot goes to the best lower hand.
